Your half-day masterclass on essential bid writing!
A practical and highly informative half day masterclass designed to debunk myths around grant funding. In this masterclass we shall learn how to identify eligible grants, avoid pitfalls when writing applications, add ‘stardust’ so our applications stand out and hear from major funders so we can understand exactly what they’re looking for from our applications.
Did you know that...
There are over 5000 grant funders in the UK and there’s somewhere in the region of £1.5bn of funding available for schools and charities.
Despite this, funders are often overwhelmed by applications with many funds heavily oversubscribed. However, a sizeable proportion of applications are rejected because the applicant makes avoidable mistakes and fails to clearly articulate the need and impact of the project. This masterclass will help delegates source suitable grant funding, identify the key priorities of the funder and assemble a compelling case for support. We shall look at successful bids, hear what funders have to say and learn how to gather and demonstrate evidence of need and impact.
KEY LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Delegates learn how to locate suitable funders and understand what they need from us.
We shall explore how our other income generation activities in school helps add value to our bids.
Delegates will develop a sense of what great evidence looks like, how to gather it and present it to funders.
Templates, project plans and other resources will enable delegates to progress applications in school.
We shall look at adding value to our applications and what funders expect from us once we’ve been awarded with a grant, including what ‘Post Award Reporting’ looks like.
Delegates will learn skills and gain knowledge but importantly they will be more confident and purposeful when leading on bid writing in their context.
