Over £1.8bn is generated by our schools from a variety of fundraising sources, from grant funding to the voluntary work of PTAs and Friends Associations. Although most schools successfully raise funds to some degree, many would admit to doing so in a slightly disorganised way. This masterclass enables delegates to approach income generation in a way that is proven to reap rewards, with resources, templates and ongoing support to help them deliver sustainable change in school.
This masterclass has been designed to provide a practical introduction to income generation, empowering delegates with the confidence, skills and resources needed to introduce and sustain successful income generation in their school.
Delegates will learn how to select the most effective fundraising method to meet their school needs and how to prioritise those initiatives most worthy of their efforts. The masterclass will cover grant funding, crowdfunding, business sponsorship, gift aid and much more, with insight into how best to assemble a compelling story to engage supporters and potential donors. Resource packs will be provided, including an income generation plan and project template, allowing delegates to quickly introduce some of the key principles being explored. Simple and quick wins will enable delegates to make an immediate impact on their return to school – swiftly demonstrating a return on their investment.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Delegates will be able to review their ‘wish list’, prioritise initiatives and plan effective fundraising strategies.
Using resources provided, delegates will be able to select a fundraising route that’s most likely to succeed.
We will explore fundraising motivations with delegates learning how to create compelling stories that encourage and engage donors.
Time will be spent looking at the role of PTAs and Friends Associations and we shall look at how to set up and run effective organisations such as these.
Delegates will be shown how to identify suitable grant funders for their projects and the essential elements that make up a successful funding application.
Knowledge and confidence will be significantly enhanced, allowing delegates to take responsibility for income generation and bring tangible results to their school
