In this interactive workshop suitable for all senior leaders, line managers and HR professionals, you will learn about the meaning of terminology related to sexuality and gender and how this relates to the workplace, including the responsibilities of all stakeholders. Through sharing his personal story, Ian will explain why LGBTQ+ inclusion is essential to staff wellbeing and how through effective inclusion, we can ensure that our staff are safeguarded and supported.
FACILITATOR
Ian Timbrell is an award winning advocate and trainer for LGBTQ+ inclusion and developing effective Relationships and Sex Education. After teaching for almost 20 years, including 5 as a deputy head teacher, Ian realised there was a tremendous and pressing need to help schools across the UK navigate the many complexities of these important topics. Using his lived experience, he uses a safeguarding first approach to develop meaningful and impactful change for all pupils.
