FACILITATOR
From a young age, John’s passion for education ignited his career journey, though his aspiration to become a PE teacher didn’t come to fruition. Graduating with a BA (Hons) Degree in History and Education Studies from the University of Exeter and a PGCE from the University of Aberystwyth, John embarked on roles focused on the welfare of children and young people. His career spanned various positions in education welfare services across different regions, leading to the establishment of Azure Education Consultancy.

Through Azure, John gained diverse experiences, including consultancy and interim leadership roles in education. His journey also included pursuing a Master’s Degree in Criminal Investigation and working as a Criminal Investigator for West Midlands Police. However, John’s true calling led him back to his educational roots, driven by a passion to impact children’s lives positively. Active in the Association of Education Welfare Management (AEWM), John was elected President in May 2024.
