This half day masterclass will help you understand how you can use data to improve and inform your attendance strategy.
Attendance data shows that persistent absence rates have doubled since 2018/2019, from 10.9% to 22.5% and recently published government figures show that persistent absence during the period of September 2023- January 2024 was still incredibly high at 20.5%.
This course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills they need to use data and evidence to inform their school’s attendance strategy. Participants will learn how to collect, analyse, and interpret data on attendance; identify the factors that contribute to poor attendance; and develop and implement evidence-based interventions to improve attendance.
