This Conference is now Closed

This masterclass covers a breadth of issues which will give you knowledge, awareness and understanding of child sexual abuse and exploitation to enhance good practice and contribute towards increased confidence in addressing safeguarding issues.

“There were 102,000 child sexual abuse offences reported for England and Wales for the year ending March 2023 with 16,000 children facing sexual exploitation every year.”

The Home Office Impact Assessment October 2023

A new report from the police’s Vulnerability Knowledge and Practice Programme sets out a detailed picture or reported Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) crimes across England and Wales and Ian Critchley QPM and NPCC lead Child Abuse Protection and Investigation emphasised the importance of a “collaborative effort and requires police, partners and the public to work together to prevent harm, pursue offenders and protect children in a changing world”. (CSAE Analysis Jan 2024)

The Government document, The Criminal exploitation of children, young people, and vulnerable adults; County lines (Oct 2023) is an important read. It is significant when considering the vulnerabilities of children and young people and our understanding of child criminal and child sexual exploitation as part of the spidery network of connectivity of abuse and exploitation.

This training is informative, interactive, and impactful. You will gain a wider radar approach to understanding child sexual exploitation and the issues connected to this form of abuse.
