This masterclass is perfect for those new to the role who want an overview of what to expect being in the role of an examinations officer within a 12-month period.

This course is an essential overview of the roles and responsibilities of an Examinations Officer. Aimed at those new to role, those who have been in post for some time but not had opportunity to access training, and those who would like an update of current guidance and best practice.

The course will help guide newly appointed examinations officers through their first year. It will cover the cycle of events, from entries to results, and everything in between. It will identify key JCQ Regulations and exam board requirements to be completed. Examples of good practice will also be shared.

This course will provide the information to ensure that you understand these roles and responsibilities and will draw on research identifying best practice.

FACILITATOR
Leona is currently the MIS and Data Manager for a large multi-academy trust. Before joining the trust, she worked as an MIS consultant, helping schools by delivering bespoke training and devising strategies to achieve efficiencies across multiple operational functions. Prior to her consultancy role, Leona worked in several large secondary schools and has hands-on experience managing the examinations process in challenging settings. Leona’s sessions are delivered with a focus on practicality, honesty, and how to ensure regulatory compliance. Outside of work, Leona enjoys attending live music events and the thrills of rollercoasters with her teenage children.
