This course helps delegates support governors to execute their strategic functions and provide positive challenge within respectful, strong relationships with school leaders.
The programme features two modules, the first of which focuses on shared responsibility and the explores tools to help build strong relationships between school leaders and governors. The second module focuses on school leaders’ roles in supporting the strategic function of governance, including statutory and inspection frameworks.

FACILITATOR
Dr Jo Trevenna is an experienced educational leader, who has worked from primary through to secondary, further, and higher education. She has over 20 years’ experience of educational leadership from early years to post-graduate level. Her research interests centre on leadership and inclusion.
She leads Potential Education, which specialises in the leadership of EDI in schools. Building understanding of the Equality Act (2010) and ensuring compliance with the Public Sector Equality Duty, Potential Education offers training and support to increase awareness and build confidence in this crucial and enriching aspect of school life.
