This session is aimed at schools and staff that are open to exploring the potential of AI, but need support in implementing a strategic overview and governance of its use. We will focus on the types of AI, the risks and compliance considerations that need to be at the forefront when embarking on this implementation, in particular in relation to data protection and cyber security. How to ensure transparency and accountability as well as data subjects rights are respected are some of the essential considerations covered.

Under Clare’s management, the service of brilliant, dedicated education specialists supports over 330 schools and trusts nationwide with its unique, hands on approach to understanding of the challenges in the sector. Formerly a senior leader and teacher in both FE and Secondary education, Clare’s background as a DPO, an author, senior examiner, teacher trainer and teacher of law, makes her uniquely placed to understand the impact of data protection legislation on the management and governance of a school and Multi Academy Trusts.
