The 2021 Teacher Wellbeing Index reported that 77% of education staff reported feeling stressed at work, with a huge 42% saying that their organisation’s culture was having a negative impact on their wellbeing. With continued reports of the retention and recruitment crisis worsening, its critical that you can take steps to prioritise staff wellbeing and mental health.
This half day Masterclass has been designed to give you the knowledge, resources, and tools you need to do just that. You’ll come away feeling empowered to make changes to improve your whole school culture, support staff as individual challenges arise and work strategically to improve wellbeing across your school.
You will also come away with a clearer understand of your legal obligations when situations of mental illhealth arise, to ensure that you are responding in a lawful manner.

Facilitator
Sam is a renowned speaker, trainer and author specialising in mental health and SEN. She has been a SENCo in a large secondary school and is a qualified Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and a Child and Adolescent Counsellor. Sam also set up a company providing mental health CBT programmes for schools. She is in high demand to speak at conferences and events and provides in-house training for schools and companies, nationally and internationally. Lauded for her humour and ‘telling it like it is’ approach to mental health, Sam has had her book Mental Health in Education published by Routledge, and regularly writes for several publications with more books in the pipeline for publication.
